macsforme | setting a resolution (a valid mode other than the native one) in the configuration file, then launching and exiting the client normally, could be one way to test that | 07:16 |

macsforme | I'm not sure why the window would flash so many times... on my system, with one monitor attached, there's no flashing at all... with multiple monitors attached, you do see a centered window, then a window in a corner, then you see it expand fullscreen... that seems to be a side effect of the workaround for multiple monitors in Linux | 07:29 |
macsforme | technically there should only be two windows actually being created during startup... I did put back one extra window creation that tupone had removed because the initial check for a window creation fault is set up to use that... other than that, there should not be any extra window creation happening | 07:37 |

macsforme | okay, I take that back... on my PR, with one monitor attached, you do see one flash for that initial window for the faulting check... I definitely don't see 10 to 15, though | 08:47 |
blast007 | it's not consistent.. now today it didn't take as many attempts on this system | 10:48 |
blast007 | and I didn't see the flashes as much because the display went to sleep while it was trying to mode switch | 10:48 |

macsforme | perhaps the faulting check can be moved to the other window creation, to alleviate the need for the first one | 23:49 |
macsforme | I'm also curious about this issue: https://youtu.be/Jk3tNsb5k1Y | 23:52 |
macsforme | it's like the game is trying to resize the window to something else as you're resizing it via the window corner | 23:54 |
