Sgeo | The Windows 10 screenshot functionality doesn't seem to like BZFlag | 20:48 |
blast007 | might not like OpenGL | 21:23 |
blast007 | I've had issues getting Open Broadcaster Software working with BZFlag as well | 21:24 |
blast007 | what happens exactly? does it just capture a black image? | 21:26 |
Sgeo | blast007, some captures of the menu and some captures of a mostly black image with just "All Chat Server Misc" visible | 21:32 |
blast007 | that sounds similar/identical to what I was seeing in OBS | 21:40 |

War_Pig | So, I am traveling with my Linux laptop. (I usually play on Windows.) And, I've compiled 2.4.18 successfully. I have major problems with radar. I cannot see team flags at all. I cannot see the box indicator to tell me how high tanks are (they all look like they are ground level). I cannot see shot colors (even though it is turned on in options.) What should I do to start troubleshooting? | 22:49 |
War_Pig | I cannot see the colors of the bases on radar either. | 22:49 |
blast007 | what radar style are you using? | 23:19 |
blast007 | though I guess the style doesn't impact those things, h mm | 23:23 |
blast007 | what GPU is that? | 23:25 |
War_Pig | dunno. Its a dell vostro 1720 | 23:28 |
War_Pig | the shots are very thin | 23:29 |
blast007 | is this a Core 2 Duo? | 23:30 |
blast007 | it should tell you the video card when you start BZFlag | 23:30 |
War_Pig | Mesa DRI Mobile Intel | 23:37 |
blast007 | tested on my Thinkpad X200, which has an Intel GM45 / 4500MHD chipset/graphics, and it works fine there | 23:51 |
blast007 | this on Debian Stretch | 23:51 |
War_Pig | Hmm. | 23:54 |
War_Pig | This says GM45 Express | 23:55 |
blast007 | "The GMA 4500MHD is used in the GL40, GS40, GM45 and GS45 chipsets." | 23:56 |
